Some of our accommodation providers have establishments that are registered with the National Accessible Scheme.
They have been assessed to ensure that they can accommodate guests with hearing, visual or mobility needs.
However there are other establishments listed below that are not officially registered but are still wheelchair friendly.
During their lifetime a high percentage of people find themselves wheelchair bound, whether from a temporary disability or a more permanent condition. It important it is for buildings and businesses to make themselves wheelchair friendly if at all possible.
Sadly not all buildings can be adapted, often because of the location, layout or structural features.
Our Wheelchair Friendly accommodation hopefully makes it easier for you to narrow the search for suitable establishments.
For mobility impairment there are various grades of Wheelchair Friendly premises.
Depending on whether you require occasional use with restricted walking ability or are totally dependent on a wheelchair or mobility scooter and also require fixtures, fittings and mechanical aids.
Listed under our Peak District Wheelchair Friendly section you will find accommodation providers that can offer disabled access.
We would ask that you telephone the provider to check their rating or suitability before booking.
