The Rising Sun Inn

Steve and Laura would like to welcome you to The Rising Sun, Middleton.

The Rising Sun is situated in the heart of Derbyshire, with breath-taking views; our prime location makes us a hotspot for visitors to the Peak District.

We are in walking distance from the High Peak Trail which is popular with walkers, and Black Rocks which is a local attraction.

At the Rising Sun we are passionate about serving great homemade food, (see our website for our menu) and we use local suppliers for our meat, fruit, vegetables and dairy products. We also have a range of real ale available; you can find us in CAMRA’s real ale guide.

We are child and dog friendly and always have a bowl of water available for your four legged friends. We are in the process of planning a refit for early 2013, we plan to stay with the traditional pub feel, but we want to extend the kitchen so we can expand the menu and give a little TLC to the pub/restaurant area so it matches the idyllic area.

The Rising Sun was originally built as a farm house and barn in the early 1700’s and it wasn’t until the twentieth century that it became exclusively a public house, there is a children’s play area around the side of the pub as well as boules courts and you can regularly see our cup winning teams in action on a Sunday night.

So come along to The Rising Sun and enjoy homemade traditional pub food, ales, wines, spirits in a warm relaxing atmosphere.
