The Old Vicarage at Wetton

At The Old Vicarage we provide beautiful Country House accommodation as well as a luxury self catering Holiday Cottage. Set in over an acre of secluded gardens, we are in the pretty stone village of Wetton overlooking the Dovedale and Manifold valleys. Originally built by the Duke of Devonshire, as part of the Chatsworth Estate in 1842, the house is steeped in history, retaining many original features and is a great base for a wonderful break. We have even been featured in Countryfile Magazine as their recommended place to stay in the Peak District!!

Nestled in the hills in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, we are the perfect location for exploring this stunning area. There are dozens of beautiful walks straight from the door, cycling on the Manifold Trail, Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail, as well as nearby attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and for the more adventureous, Alton Towers. And.. we have some great pubs and eateries all within 3-4 miles and a small pub in the village only 2 minutes stroll down the driveway.

Soak up the warm relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful Country House which we have lovingly and carefully restored to a luxurious standard. All our rooms are en-suite with wonderful views over the gardens and countryside. Sample Nicky’s home made breads, cakes and jams. Stroll around the beautiful landscaped gardens, sit out and relax on the lawns (formerly the village tennis courts) and watch the wonderful bird life, or for the more energetic how about a game of croquet? In those crisp clear winter months relax with a cup of tea by a roaring fire in our Bed & Breakfast. Or in the summer months sit in the sunshine overlooking the gardens.
