The Old Station House

The Old Station House bed and breakfast is a beautiful period house located between Matlock and Bakewell in the charming village of Rowsley, on the border of the Peak District National Park.  Our three en-suite guest rooms are recently refurbished and look out on the surrounding countryside and we have plenty of off-road parking.  The village pub and two upmarket restaurants are within a five minute walk of the house.

Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell are all within a three mile radius of The Old Station House and easily accessible via the many footpaths that lead from the village in every direction. Why not walk to Chatsworth along the Derwent Valley Heritage Trail, or follow the footpath to Stanton Moor and the Bronze Age Nine Ladies Stone Circle – one of the Top 100 walks in the country, according to a recent ITV series.  Alternatively, you could hire a bike and cycle the famous Monsal Trail, or take the Peak Rail steam train from Rowsley South station to Matlock and walk the mile through local parks to Matlock Bath where cable cars ascend the Heights of Abraham, affording some of the most fantastic views in the Dales.  Our location, attention to detail and fabulous cooked breakfast using  the very best local produce and homemade bread make us the perfect location for anyone looking to make the most of their visit to the Peak District.

• A full English breakfast, or vegetarian option made with fresh, locally sourced produce and home-made bread is provided

Prices vary according to the time of year and length of stay and range from £30 – £47.50 per person per night, based on two people sharing, or £60 – £90 for single occupancy.
