The Lathkil Hotel

The Lathkil Hotel is situated in the tiny Derbyshire village of Over Haddon, perched above the stunning Lathkill Dale, with possibly the best views any pub could wish for. The historic market town of Bakewell is just two miles away. We are a traditional family run pub, priding ourselves in quality locally sourced homemade food and a great selection of real ales. In winter you can sit by our roaring fires and in summer sit in our beer garden taking in the beautiful views.

We have been in the Good Pub Guide for the last 34 years. With five real ale hand pulls we our able to have a constantly changing array of wonderful guest beers both from local brewers and those farther a field. You will regularly find Hartington Bitter from Whim Ales brewed locally in the village of Hartington , Adnams from Southwold and Peak Ales from Chatswoth . Every Wednesday Evening we hold a quiz night from 9.30pm onwards.

We serve lunches daily from 12-2pm (2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday). This ranges from snacks like soup & home baked filled rolls to more substantial homemade meals like our renowned Venison & Blackberry Casserole, Steak & Kidney Pie and Smoked Trout Salad as well as vegetarian dishes, along with our delicious homemade puddings. Smaller Children portions are available.

In the evenings we serve food on a Sunday through to Thursday from 6 30pm till 8 30pm in the bar and restaurant. Booking is recommended.

We have four comfortable, well-equipped double rooms (two can be twinned on request),  All have television, hair dryer, a mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. Three of them have en-suite shower rooms and one has an en-suite bathroom.
