Originally built in 1874 by Francis Hurt, the impressive historical building sits proudly on the A6 connecting Ambergate to Buxton, Matlock and Derby.

Passed through many hands, The Hurt Arms has now been taken over with the intentions of bringing this remarkable building back to its former glory. Serving locally sourced ingredients hand-crafted by our expert chefs, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Boutique Bed & Breakfast accommodation.

Our six boutique suites are all individually designed with unique touches and a luxury finish.

All our room prices include bath robes, slippers and luxury toiletries by The White Company. Followed by a freshly cooked breakfast the next morning.

Country Restaurant.

All our food is locally sourced ingredients hand-crafted by our expert chefs, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Perfectly situated along the A6 and nestled into the River Amber. We have retained the original charm and character, offering sweeping views across the beautiful Derbyshire landscape. The Hurt Arms is a combination of rustic and contemporary, with the unique and stylish Tollgate Suite for you to host your special day.

The suite holds the fascinating heritage whilst creating a stunning Industrial-style wedding venue. Complete with a private bar and stylish lighting features to help create that industrial theme. Outside is a raised Terrace area, descending into The Secret Garden. Exclusive to you and

your guests, the secret garden is a picturesque setting to enjoy drinks from our vintage horsebox, that has been exclusively converted into a unique outdoor bar. The secret garden is also an excellent space for some stunning photographs.
