The Derwent is a converted hotel/pub retaining many features so that you experience owning a hotel with a pub for exclusive self-catering use . Situated in the Upper Derwent Valley in the heart of the Peak District, The Derwent has prime location in the former mill-village Bamford which occupies the hillside underneath Bamford Edge and above the River Derwent

The impressive renovation of the building provides you with 16 bedrooms (with flexible bed options) in total with plenty of en suites and shared bathrooms.

Popular areas of the Peak District are very accessible Castleton, Hope Valley, Edale, Hathersage Lady Bower Reservoir are all a short drive away.

Meetings
The Derwent Hotel is a perfect destination for large parties with very spacious open plan areas that can be used for meetings and everyone can dine and socialise in. This is ideal accommodation for groups to meet comfortably and get together for business meetings or corporate events/parties. You can either take over the entire property on an “Exclusive Use” basis or dependent on numbers select the appropriate accommodation for your needs.

Team Building
At The Derwent Hotel , you can organise team building events with a number of different activities on site, inside the buildings or in the grounds. For events/activities that require more space we use the surrounding area or nearby specialist centres. You can choose something active such as orienteering, canoeing, abseiling or quad biking – the list goes on. We have excellent contacts with local reputable companies who can provide bespoke social development programmes, corporate team building days or simply enjoying some leisure time Accommodation

The accommodation has recently been refurbished to an exceptional standard mixing contemporary style with original buildings and features. Fabric and furnishings have been carefully coordinated throughout. Located around the centre of Bamford, with some excellent walking in nearby Dovedale and the Manifold Valleys. The properties can be let individually, as a whole or in any combination for different sized groups. There are three floors that sleep upto 45 people. All rooms are light, modern and clean.

Catering
At The Derwent Hotel it is possible for large groups of people to dine together enjoying the freedom of the self catering option. If you dont fancy cooking your own food there are a number of Local Pubs in the area that serve fresh food daily

Large Groups
We know that groups come in all shapes and sizes and have different requirements. So we have designed The Derwent to cater for groups of 20 to 43 and offer totally flexible accommodation with some bedrooms that can sleep between 2 and 4. Garden and Outdoor Space

• Outside to the rear of the property there is a lovely patio area with picnic benches and a BBQ, (please bring your own charcoal), a lovely spot for some al fresco dining.
• Adjacent to this is a pleasant lawned garden with a child’s play area, perfect for children to run off some steam! There is plenty of off road parking as the former hotel and pub has it very own car park with parking for up to 20 plus cars.
