Middle Farm Cottages…sleeps 8 and 4 or 12 in total .

Brushfield lies on the edge of a limestone plateau area dissected by the spectacular Monsal Dale and Miller’s Dale making it a walkers and bikers paradise. Many varied circular walks can be planned straight from doorstep so you have a chance to park up your car and get those legs working throughout your whole stay!

For the less active it is an ideal central location for visiting all the major attractions in Derbyshire including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Buxton Opera House, Bakewell, Lathkill Dale and all the numerous picturesque villages in the area.

Middle Farm is situated on a sunny south-facing hillside high above Taddington Dale. The farm lies in the midst of some of the finest scenery and walking country in the Peak District.

The cottages are surrounded by fields and woodland and offer diverse fauna and flora whatever the seasons. The newly opened cycle trails and tunnels along the former railway line are easily accessible from this base.

The owners live in the nearby farmhouse and whilst respecting guests privacy and independence are pleased to offer any help or advice.

It is within easy reach of many local attractions. Bakewell is 6 miles, Buxton 6 miles, Chatsworth 6 miles, Matlock 12 miles, Hope Valley 12 miles.

Albertine Barn – sleeps 8

The cottage has a large cart entrance with glazed doorway, flagstone entrance hallway and an attractive upstairs/balcony. There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms – one of which is on the ground floor.

Maigold Cottage – sleeps 4

Is a single storey conversion offering accommodation “all on one level.” Accommodation includes a spacious lounge with beamed ceiling and traditional log burning stove (an initial supply of fuel is provided).

There is an attractive double bedroom with exposed roof trusses and an external door to the patio area. The twin bedded room has a beamed ceiling. The spacious kitchen/dining area is superbly equipped.

They have both been fitted out to a very high standard and offer spacious accommodation. Many interesting features including exposed beams and roof trusses have been retained. Both cottages have ample secure parking, garden, courtyard areas next to the cottage and both properties can be booked together to sleep 12 guests.
