Poised on a Derbyshire hillside and situated in the picturesque countryside village of Lea, our  wonderfully peaceful Stone Cottage is placed perfectly for anyone who wants to indulge in the delights of this beautiful and historically important area.

Climbing up from the Derwent valley, Lea View Cottage is the ideal get-away for those looking to lose themselves in the boundless Derbyshire landscape.  Whether it’s investigating the historical culture of Matlock Bath, trekking through  limestone dales or taking to the skies in a paragliding lesson, there are prolific opportunities and attractions nearby to suit.

Lea View Cottage is secludedly set in the grounds of Holt House and perfectly strikes the balance between the historical limestone style and the modern conveniences you would expect of a city centre hotel. Three comfortable bedrooms, Two bathrooms, Two lounge areas and a fully fitted kitchen diner can  easily accommodate parties of up to six people. We also have gated driveway parking and lockable outdoor storage for any equipment you might wish to bring. Our cottage also offers a furnished patio (complete with a proper barbeque ) and an acre of outdoor exquisitely maintained space, perfect for brunch al-fresco.

As you should expect – Lea View Cottage is equipped with all the necessary mod-cons such as  free Wifi, TV and DVD player (with extensive DVD library), modern kitchen and luxurious bathrooms.

Lea View Cottage is nestled among elevated gardens within the grounds of Holt House.  Holding superb views over Lea Green, the cottage is a detached stone building built over two floors, featuring 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, modern and well equipped kitchen /diner and a studio. Lea View Cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.

A former workshop / garage. Lea View Cottage was built using stone from the original Holt House stables by Jill’s Father. The cottage keeps the character of the old building but boasts a modern and comfortable interior with all of the expected amenities that you would expect to find in a modern build.

The cottage has underfloor heating travelling beneath oak wood floors throughout. The exception being travertine tiles in both of the spacious and well lit bathrooms. There is also a stocked log burner in the downstairs lounge which is very cosy, even during the worst of the Derbyshire weather.

Gated parking for up to 3 cars is provided adjacent to the cottage. There is also a secure summer house where you can store bicycles and other outdoor equipment. The Jug and Glass pub/restaurant is a mere 3 minute walk away, a property onced owned by Florence Nightingales family. Alternatively you can spend your evening relaxing on the cottage patio, enjoying a barbeque and overlooking the exquisite mature gardens which are lovingly maintained by ourselves.

Every bedroom is equipped with a wardrobe, dresser, Sky TV and storage. Bedding is supplied and towels provided. Wifi is of course included free of charge. Sadly we cannot accommodate pets, smoking is strictly forbidden.
