Landal Darwin Forest is an award-winning holiday park set in 44 acres of woodland, surrounded on all sides by the most beautiful Derbyshire countryside. 

Our 137 luxurious self-catering pine lodges sleep from 2-8 people, allowing you to relax and spend quality time in the great outdoors, either for an indulgent break or for an adventure with your family and friends. 

You might feel very tempted to never leave the park, with its swimming pool, steam room, spa, sauna, gym, mini golf course, tennis courts, footpaths, cycling trails, archery zones, café and restaurant, not to mention an adventure playground, huge indoor play centre and games room for the younger members of your group.  But if you do decide to venture further afield, Landal Darwin Forest is the perfect base from which to explore the Peak District National Park.

Our lodges are purpose-built to provide luxurious, cosy, comfortable accommodation for your short break or family holiday.  Choose from traditional or more contemporary lodges, with one, two, three or four bedrooms, all with quality furnishings and wonderful facilities.s well as comfortable and spacious bedrooms, all lodges have a fully-fitted kitchen, a bath and/or shower, and a veranda with garden furniture.  Each has a flat-screen TV with Freeview/DVD/CD and wifi.  All lodges are provided with bed linen, duvets, towels, and complimentary toiletries, and beds are made up for your arrival.  Spa lodges have an outdoor hot tub.

Pets are welcome in some of our lodges for a small additional fee.

The Foresters Bar and Restaurant can be found within the heart of Landal Darwin Forest.  Serving up an extensive menu, including a wide variety for children and a take-away menu, there really is something for everyone.  The Foresters Bar and Restaurant includes a large designated family area and a conservatory reserved for adult diners only.  Well-behaved dogs are also welcome in the bar area, meaning that you really can include the whole family!

The £1.5m Evolution Health & Fitness complex at Landal Darwin Forest offers a great range of facilities and treatments, meaning that you can find something for the whole family to enjoy. 

For pure indulgence and relaxation, why not book yourself in for a stress relieving back massage or a hot stone therapy during your stay?  You know you are in safe and comforting hands with the on-site trained therapists who offer a range of experiences. 

Or if you’d like to be more energetic, start the day off with an invigorating swim in our heated pool.  Swimming is included within the cost of your stay.  If you are over 16 and would like to get fit during your stay, then why not use the spa and gym facilities for only a small additional charge? 

Alternatively, recharge your batteries by taking a stroll through the nearby nature reserve or one of the many woodland walks at Landal Darwin Forest.  Get close to nature and follow the paths or cycle trails with the amazing trees towering over you.

Our Location

The Peak District National Park boasts 555 square miles of the most beautiful countryside in the United Kingdom.  It’s a great place for an activity holiday – whether you love climbing, cycling, riding, para-gliding or running – but it’s also perfect for just strolling and soaking up the views at your own pace. 

Landal Darwin Forest is close to the lovely towns of Matlock, Matlock Bath and Bakewell, and is only a short drive from the historic country estates of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.  Or for a perfect family walk, make sure you visit the stunning area of Dovedale, one of the best loved beauty spots in the Peak District National Park, and indeed one of the most visited natural sites in Britain.
