Cliff House is Large, luxury, boutique style self-catering Victorian House, situated at the top of Monsal Head, overlooking the famous Monsal Dale views. Perfect for large groups, sleeping from 16 – 26 people.

Cliff House has one of the best locations in all of The Peak District, with stunning 360 degree views of the area. It also has some of the finest walking The Peaks has to offer from right outside the door, including being only a 2 minutes’ walk away from the recently opened tunnels of the Monsal Trail. This runs all the way from Bakewell to Buxton, a very popular trail for walkers and cyclists of all ages.

Cliff House is also just a short walk to the pretty villages of Great Longstone, Little Longstone and the picture postcard village of Ashford in the Water. Incredibly accessible to main Peak attractions, it is only a 5 minute drive to the famous market town of Bakewell, 10 minute drive to the awe inspiring Chatsworth House and Estate and 15 minute drive to the historic spa town of Buxton. This spacious 10/11 bedroom Victorian House has recently been refurbished to an incredibly high standard with a mix of traditional features and contemporary style. Most bedrooms are large and en-suite and can be set up as doubles or twins depending on your needs. The master suite on the top floor (with the most incredible views) can sleep up to 5 people and two other rooms have extra bunk beds/twin beds with the ability to sleep up to 4 guests. The dining room is big enough for everyone to dine together, everything that you may need to cater for large groups is provided for you in the recently installed, stunning farmhouse kitchen.

Outside, there is a beautiful designed and recently landscaped garden, looking straight on to the Longstone Edge and down into the picturesque village of Little Longstone.

Cliff House also has an enviable location when it comes to being in walking distance from not just one but a selection of really good, heart-warmingly traditional pubs. This includes the infamous Pack Horse in Little Longstone, The White Lion in Great Longstone, and the Monsal Head Hotel with the fabulous traditional Stable Bar and fantastic outside seating area looking north westerly down into Monsal Dale.

Corporate Meetings/ Team Building
Cliff House is a perfect destination for large parties, being incredibly spacious with areas large enough for meetings. For a nominal charge we offer equipment to support your meeting with Flip chart, paper, pens, easel and a projector screen can also be hired.

Team Building events can be organised with a number of different activites on site, inside the house or in the grounds. For events/activities that require more space we use the surrounding area or nearby specialist centres.
