/images/tideswellsn.jpgTideswell & Area - Winter 2009

Your safer neighbourhood team is committed to making your community a safer and better place to live and work.

Tideswell & Area (including Hassop, Gt. Longstone, Ashford, Baslow, Beeley, Cressbrook, Edensor, Little Longstone, Monsal Head, Pilsley, Litton, Wardlow and Wheston)

Over 400 residents in Baslow were given Selecta DNA property marking kits as part of Derbyshire Constabulary’s countywide campaign: Operation Relentless. This was organised by the Derbyshire Dales Community Safety Partnership and involved many different partners. We hope this will help keep the area safe by deterring potential thieves.

Details of our current priorities can be found on the website
www.derbyshire.police.uk

You said: Off-road vehicles affecting quality of life for residents across the area.
We did: Held engagement days with the Peak District National Park Authority, South Yorkshire Police and off-roading clubs to encourage responsible offroading.

These will continue in 2010 alongside quarterly meetings with all agencies involved.
