Tibshelf is a village and civil parish in Derbyshire and is in the Bolsover district of the County. Two railway stations once served the village, where one was a branch line of the Midland Railway. There are three schools in Tibshelf and an astronomy group and other leisure highlights include Tibshelf Ponds, which stand at the ex colliery site. It has a large cricket field and modern pavilion and has redeveloped itself into a popular place to live.
