The Farmyard Inn, A traditional country pub situated in the Derbyshire Peak District. Known for both its food, drink and its relaxed environment. The pub is in a great location with a great reputation.
The Farmyard Inn is situated in Youlgrave, a village within the Peak District National Park. The village is located near the picturesque town of Blackwell and is only a 15 minute drive to the world famous Chatsworth House, a stately home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire which has passed through 16 generations of the Cavendish family. Nearby peak towns include Buxton, Ashbourne and Matlock and also nearby attractions such as Haddon Hall, Caudwells Mill and even Alton Towers (25 miles).
The Farmyard Inn dates back more than 300 years, starting as a farm but then became an Inn in 1829. The pub has a warm friendly and unique appeal and provides a great selection of beers and fresh homemade food. All food currently is freshly prepared using local produce wherever possible. The pub is frequently visited by a number of walkers due to Youlgrave having three long distance paths- The Alternative Pennine Way, the Limestone Way and the White Peak Way, all of which pass through the village. The pub benefits from a large car park to the rear and has an outside seating area to enjoy the beautiful hillside scenery.
The pub also has an added benefit of four letting bedrooms with access from the car park to the rooms directly. Perfect for those visiting the Peak District or for an over night stay whilst out walking.
